We have just come back from visiting family in Cheshire & while there we went for a meal at The Egerton Arms in Chelford & to my surprise they had some good gluten free offerings i had a chicken & bacon pie & it was the best pie i have had for a long time,really light crisp pastry just how i remember pastry being & the filling was amazing. I think it should have been called chicken & ham pie because the chunks of bacon so chunky but so lovely. i asked our server where they got their pies from & she said with was a local company called Foodmentalists.I hope they deliver to Sussex i will defiantly be ordering some.
They also had a steak & ale pie but i didnt get a chance to try that one.
