3 places to recommend in Tarbert:
- West Loch hotel, just on the outside of Tarbert, marks GF on restaurant menu, can do breakfast (although it was a bit protein heavy and short on carbs) and is generally a really lovely, welcoming place to stay. - Gallery Cafe and Chef Shop - a cafe on the harbour, near the fishing sheds / Tarbert castle. Again really lovely & friendly, also has GF cake, biscuit and can do sandwiches. Even got a GF biscuit with my cup of tea which is a first. - Pierre's Bistro - also on the harbour round the side where the castle is. They handmake & proper pizza oven normal and GF pizza. Also available: pretty much everything on the menu available GF. Make their own GF bread. The owner has a coeliac in the family and I had a good long chat with him and he's really clued up about cross-contamination (in fact, he raised the subject, not me!). They do currently have oat flour in their GF breads etc, but check as he's tinkering with his recipes!!
