M&S restaurant - County Down
Posted by David mc on 31/7/2013
I ate in the M&S restaurant in Sprucefield, Lisburn, County Down, Northern Ireland, today. To clarify, this was the table service restaurant, not Cafe Revive. It was great to have table service but even better to have lovely gluten free food options at such good value. Basically for £10 you get a main course, a dessert and a glass of wine or a soft drink. I had sea bass with new potatoes, green beans, sauteed cherry tomatoes and pesto. The portion was very good and perfectly cooked and the dessert of Eton mess with strawberry frozen yoghurt, mixed berries and cream, was deconstructed and both generous and delicious. Staff knew not to top mine with shortbread crumbs. There were at least two mains that were GF and the staff were happy to adjust other options to suit. They were also knowledgable about our needs and did inform me, that as a large company, they had to advise me about a theoretical possibility of cross contamination which they would endeavour to ensure did not occur. A highly recommended experience.
