GF board
just returned from a break in Murcia. as everyone says it is so easy in spain to shop. we found gf crackers biscuits and bread in every shop we went to. we also found beiker brand baguetts (yum) and bread and pizza bases in some. so many poducts from olives to bacon have sin gluten on the packet its really fool proof.
gf beer wasnt in every shop but mercadona had it, ambar lager, for 82 cents a bottle.
meracdona in torre pachecco is probably the best place in the area for gf. it had beiker brand which is all good stuff, especially the melba toasts and cakes. gullon brand cookies were in Roldans tiny local supermarket along with some gf crispbreads. eroski in los alcazeres also had stuff, procelli bread, pizza bases and cakes.
ice creams labelled at all stands so easy to buy from.
the resort we stayed on (la torre) has a spar shop. it had bimbo gf bread (for a price!!) but better than nowt! and lots of naturally gf stuff so u could happily eat without leaving the complex if u had to.
the complex has a cafe bar by the golf course where the chef came out and went thru the menu after we showed translation cards.
flying from BHX we found a limited choice although there were cooked meal options around the restaraunts that we could have had, Boots also had a jamie oliver fish salad and lots of fruit nuts crisps and treats we could stock up on.
