TGI Fridays
From Dawn on GF board
We were invited out for my nieces 3rd birthday on Tuesday to the High Wycombe TGI Fridays. I had read the recent posting about TGI Fridays and thought well as long as they do something Madeleine (nearly 3) can eat then we would go along. I rang the restaurant at lunch time and spoke to the manager who was really helpful told me all the things on the menu that were GF and also said that if I needed anything cooked in a specific way they would do that for me. He also said that if they had the ingredient to hand that they would cook her whatever I asked.
As she is only 3 she needed something quite simple and I wasn't sure whether she would eat a piece of cooked chicken so in the end I took my own cooked burger (theirs are not GF) and she had the cheesy mash and baked beans. They did say they couldn't cook the burger for me as I was supplying it but did offer to warm it up for me but it was wrapped in foil and still warm so didn't bother. For pudding she had the vanilla ice cream.
She had a fantastic time!!!

From Lisa:
We had our second ever meal out (since dx) with our 9yr old a couple of months ago at TGI's.
We asked the server to ask the chef what was GF on the kid's menu, he came back with a list. Beth had burger, fries, beans and dirt and worm ice cream. No bad after effects, and we've been twice since. Can thoroughly recommend the one we went to!
TGI's at the Birstall (nr Leeds) retail park. (I think it's known as Centre 27)

TGI Fridays in Watford have always been very nice to me, usually I have the vegetable fajitas and the replace the tortilla with large iceberg lettuce leaves. On one occasion we were left waiting for our table for well over an hour and as a diabetic once we got to the table I felt a bit funny, TGI Fridays were great and as I couldn't have a bread roll the manager bought me a large basket of fries within a couple of mins before actually taking our order!! Wasn't charged for the fries either!!

Hi,
I wanted to share my positive experience with TGI's in the Strand over Easter. I called ahead and they told me the did gluten free and lactose free options and even had a menu. When I arrived a lady came over with a dietary folder and took a list of the other intolerances we had and she checked the options we choose to see if they were ok. We asked about contamination and she told the chef to wash the grill down, which he did too! Our first meal out since diagnosis and am feeling very relieved.
