GF in Scotland

GF board
A couple of options spring to mind. My choice would be to go to the Rowan Tree Country Hotel 2 miles south of Aviemore at loch Alvie. Note it is not open to residents one day a week, Monday I think. The restaurant is unrivalled for gluten free in my experience, really absolutely outstanding menu. The best GF meal I have ever had to date anywhere to be honest. There is a restaurant with rooms called the Cross in Kingussie and I have heard that it is good with GF. It is quite foodie and looks pricey though. I found a place called the Potting Shed in Kingussie online, a little cafe for cake and coffee mainly and I read that they offer GF cake. The Mountain cafe on Aviemore main street, above the outdoor pursuits shop, is great for daytime eats. There is so much that is GF that it is amazing. Not dear and good for breakfast and lunch. Great coffee. Some stairs. Check the website. The teapot cafe in Kingussie is supposed to have GF brownies and the Highland Wildlife park cafe GF shortbread. Have fun, you will not starve in that area.
