Posted by Sharon (William's mum) on 29/4/2012, 11:13:53 Just to say our family went to the Leather Bottle pub in Cobham last night for a birthday dinner. The manager is a coeliac and personally assured us that whatever William wanted she would make sure it was gluten free. Although he is only 8, he really does like his food so chose a 12oz rump steak with chips and trimmings. He had a lovely meal of steak, chips, mushrooms and grilled tomatoes and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend for a family pub meal www.theleatherbottle.co.uk/

The Leather Bottle, Cobham, Kent

GF board
We tried the Leather Bottle at Cobham in Kent on Sunday. It's a 17th Century pub which Charles Dickens used to frequent. The restaurant manager is Ceoliac and there is a GF menu including GF bread and the normal pub food. The garlic bread was particularly good and they do GF fish and chips. Nice atmosphere and great to have a wide choice from the menu for my son. It also has a pleasant garden for summer days (not last Sunday!), open fire and loads of Dickens memorabilia. Worth a visit!
