Posted by Amanda (Yorkshire) on 31/3/2012 I went to Chatsworth House in Derbyshire today. They were very good on the gf food; the chef came out to discuss what I could have and there were 2 choices of hot food; later on we went back for tea and cake and there was a choice of about 5 cakes plus meringue with cream, fruit and chocolate. It's not marked on the menu, you have to ask, but all the staff were lovely and made me feel welcome and that it was no trouble. Would recommend. It was the Carriage House restaurant we ate in. www.chatsworth.org/

Yes, I agree with this too. Good choice of gf food and clued-up staff.
Good choice of fresh gf cakes in the back, kept separate. Beware - Victoria sponge not very good, should have asked to see it first. (Cold, damp and rubbery!)
