What a fantastic place!!
I first saw this place on the Supp ages ago and hadn't really taken a great deal of notice, but last Friday we decided to bite the bullet and go for it.
Tammy was VERY nervous about eating chinese for the first time in 5 years, but her fear soon went when the restaurant owner came over to us, sat down with her and asked her what she would like. He explained everything so well, had great knowledge on GF food and said that there were already 2 coeliacs in the the restaurant that night, who were regulars there. To be honest, the whole restaurant seemed to be full of regulars, he seemed to know most of the people there by name.
Tammy had crispy duck to start, with plum sauce instead of hoy sin and lettuce leaves instead of panckaes. She then had sweet and sour chicken (in batter, made with potato flour instead of normal flour)) and crispy chilli beef (again in batter), special fried rice and stir fried veg.
They usually have a bottle of GF soy sauce available (although they had run out on Friday night) so you shouldn't need to take your own, although he did say he wouldn't recomend the prawn crackers because he didn't trust the manufacturing process and thought contamination might be an issue (that, to me showed a great GF knowledge), so possibly take your own if you like them with your grub.
I didn't have to worry about what Tammy was eating all night, so I enjoyed my food too.
If you are near Westerham in Kent and love Chinese, go here! Fantastic service and great food!! 10 out of 10 and a rose of the week!!
