Whitby Posted by Paddy on 18/7/2014, 12:08:47
Visited a new eating place in Whitby a couple of days ago. What a delight! two g/f homemade cakes (one was lime and pistachio) were available and all their sandwiches can be made in g/f bread or rolls (which I was told are from Sainsburys).
Looking forward to revisiting this lovely little place, complete with courtyard garden, on my next visit to Whitby.

Sorry, it's in Silver Street just off Flowergate which is a main street on the West cliff that has shops, estate agents, building societies and the like. It's called Rusty Shears.

Quayside fish and chips Whitby Posted by Wakey on 2/5/2011 GF board Went here yesterday. Absolutely great fish and chips- really great. They do GF on demand, no extra cost. Fried in separate fryer. Seemed knowledgeable about cross contamination etc. Really, really great fish and chips- just won best fish and chips in UK competition. Situated just down from Magpie Cafe on the harbourside. If a nice day, walk back towards the town by about 10 metres and there is a snicket. Keep going up the hill and right. Eventually you arrive at the best view in Whitby, some benches above the harbour and town - a view right across Whitby.
