Praise for P & O Cruises
Posted by Jan (Roth) on 1/4/2011, 8:57:28 212.137.45.X
Just returned from Canaries cruise and cannot praise P & O enough for their knowledge of GF diet. I was given GF bread, they toasted me bread in a morning on a different grill to the rest of the bread, I was given GF biscuits for my room and I had the choice of my meals. They were so attentive and made sure I enjoyed my food and wasn't ill during my holiday.

Been on Auzra sister ship to ventura last April for hubby 60th he is coeliac. The food was really good gf toast gf crackers with cheese. He was given the menu for the next day so he could choose his meal so they could make sure it was gf the desserts were really good, on the first night he also had a choice but not as many as the others nights. He even had food from the all day buffet with no problems. We didnt use the pizza place so dont know if they do gf. The best bit was not having to worry about meals all the time. Going on oceana this easter

Also make sure P &O know you are a coeliac I rang them direct and told them (in case you used a travel agent) also first thing we did after getting settled was speake to the restaurant manger who showed us that it was marked next to hubbys name an cabin number.

Went on the Azura in 2012 - catering was great. The head waiter brought out our menus the day before so that we could choose and our meals were prepared specially. Gf bread available for breakfast too. I had some lovely puddings!
Make sure you contact them before sailing to say you need gf.
Enjoy - I'm sooo jealous!

Just back from a week on Oceana this is our 2nd cruise and again the food was really good. One night husband had 3 desserts all different all GF. We had meals in the self service restaurant Gf toast for breakfast. Also had lunch in them afternoon Gf tea in main restaurant very nice. Meals in main dinning room very good just had to give 24 hours notice of what you wanted. Also had a meal in La Rochell no problems. Also recommend The Grand Harbour Hotel in Southampton
