You're right on every point. But there are other factors to consider.
The elderly Coeliac (as most of us through medical ignorance) are not diagnosed until later in life.
Multiple Coeliacs in one family
Those on a low income but not on JSA or other benefits.
To name but a few.
Then there's the big question. Why were Glutafin, Juvela and EnerG products chosen for the new ammended list and others (Barkat, Procelli etc) not? Are their products cheaper for the NHS to buy than the others??? or, is there something more sinister going on? (Backhanders) and who benefits?
Plus, and this is another biggy, why restrict choice? You're not going to order MORE of anything because you're still limited to so many units per month. So, why do it? It would be more logical to stop GF prescribing altogether, at least i could understand that but this makes no sense at all.
