For Coeliacs and other patients that don't stick to a gluten free diet, What's the knock on cost per person for medication and hospital care?
Surely, guaranteeing compliance far outweighs the cost of treating any associated illness which could develope because of non-compliance.
The Gluten Free Diet is the only medically proven treatment for Coeliac Disease.
In the short term they may appear to make considerable savings, but what will be the long term cost to the health service.
Penny wise and Pound foolish.
