this is the government under the disguise of the PCTs carrying on with thatchers policy of taking us back to the Victorian days. I'm sure Juvela & Glutafin & others will put pressure on them as they will have no outlet for their products currently only available on 'script.

You have put your finger on an important point, Bill, why should coeliacs not have a choice of GF items (within the recognised guidelines)?
My choice of GF basics are only available on scrip, not in shops.
How would those SECoast people feel if they could only have the biscuits I told them they could have at their meetings?
I bet they have a varied choice of biscuits at their meetings & my guess is that they don't pay for them out of their own pocket.
We have to eat GF stuff, not them, so we should be the ones to choose which GF items we have on scrip.
It would be really interesting if these people who have decided to cut prescriptions lived for a month or two on GFD , then they might have more understanding of our position.

I am pretty certain that the NHS does not pay for meeting biscuits.
Prescriptions are not about choice. You don't choose which drugs you want, nor which brands of drugs, so why should you have a choice over food?

Yep, you are correct. Never ever seen biscuits at a meeting of any level unless someone has brought some themselves.
