re weight probs-- a lot of glutenfree products have an additive, the same additive added to low fat foods to 'bulk' it up. watch very interesting prog on tv revealing what exactly goes into these foods. I was diagnosed just over 3 years ago having been ill for 14 years. The push came when i went fron 8st to under 6stone. however, i put a lot of weight on and realise now it is gluten free food with it's additives and high sugar content, the culprit. I am cutting back on bread and goodies like biscuits and processed food-- watch this space!!

I think undernourishment is extremely unlikely. What nutrients can you get from bread that you do not already get elsewhere? Over-caloried is much more of a problem these days!
