Costa Rica -from St John’s
Hi
Just got back from my Costa Rican holiday. It was great. Eating GF was very easy at our first stop La Poloma Lodge on the Osa Peninsula. All food was served family style but they prepared something for me each meal time that I too could eat. They were wonderfully accomadating and helpful. After that things became more difficult. I had a card in Spanish from GIG that helped, but some other spots seemed less concerned with helping me. On the road we came across one restaurant where no one was literate. This made my card useless. I did my best guess from the menu and did not get sick. So all in all I think I did ok. I guess I will find out next month when I go back to my GI doc and have my follow up tests. We loved the Costa Rica it is just beautiful.
