Re: Tunisia holiday Posted by Rachel on 14/4/2008 Gf board I went to Tunisia last summer and had no problems eating. we went half board so food was buffet style, in which im not over sensitive so the odd bits of contamination weren't too bad. But its a really nice place, plenty of people willing to help and stuff, and i took an arabic dietary card with me too. … …I stayed in the Tej Marharba Hotel in Sousse, Tunisia in July of last year. I got my dietary card from www.dietarycard.com, its the custom card 1 (coeliac version), think they do them in about 15 languages, maybe more. …. ..., just one problem where i asked for chicken and got steak, but soon resolved that when i said the problem. I mainly stuck to fresh meat (which was on offer everyday and with the ingredients of any stock etc. labelled above the selection), potatoes and veg, and fresh fruit. They tried quite hard to speak english so it didnt tend to be a problem with language, although i used the word allergic (tut tut eh) instead of intolerant- it was easier!! …. *******************
