No postings on here for a long time, (mainly due to my computer uselessness), but we are still here! About to launch the new website Purenogluten, which actually says more about what we do than our official trading name "Innovative Solutions UK Ltd" We are having a stand at The Source trade show in Exeter next week (5th/6th Feb 2014) if anyone is attending and will launch our new "Pure Seeded Teff Bread" mix, something that customers have been asking for, for quite some time, to add to our Pure Bread mix, Pure Batter mix and Pure Multipurpose mix range. Unfortunately ACBS approval has not been applied for, due to many PCT's delisting products, it makes the longwinded process unviable. How the "powers that be" on these committees can consider basic GF baking ingredients "luxury items" is beyond us! However we are hoping to have these products in health food stores and independents over the next few months at our usual reasonable prices. As a specialist "free from" manufacturer we can pass on savings to our customers, be they patients, retailers, fish fryers or bakers Now I need to keep my fingers crossed that this is posted on the supplementary board and not on the main board where advertising is prohibited! Please get in touch if you need more information, we're a small family firm and always happy to help

Great Taste Awards 2015 Press Release.pdf (118.97 KB) Please see our press release showing our award at our very first attempt, we are very proud. Come along to the Liverpool Allergy Show 7th & 8th November to try our range and some new products which we will be launching shortly! Please be aware that our products are the cheapest prescription approved flours around, and we supply direct to pharmacy wholesalers to avoid the "specials handling charge" which has blighted the NHS GF prescription service for many years!

With reference to the thread regarding Scarborough & Rydale CCG dated July 2015. We also do not understand where the "detailed consultation exercise" took place, as Innovative have never been consulted when our products are delisted, we usually hear via this messageboard or from a patient distressed they are struggling to obtain our flours. In this case our guess is that the Pure brand of blended flour (and you are quite right, all mixes are a blend of GF ingredients) is cheaper than a "bread mix" or other blends which tends to have more additives therefore ours is consequently cheaper for a kilo than others are for 500g. If CCG’s are looking at cost cutting it is an obvious choice as we strive to keep prices as low as possible as we buy large tonnages. However we have been dissuaded from applying for any more ACBS approvals because of the current tendency for CCG's to delist GF home bakery ingredients, which in turn, makes it very difficult for us to know how much stock to hold. We are also very distressed at independent pharmaceutical suppliers who use the extra "specials handling" charge and extra delivery charge to inflate the cost (quite legally, the NHS rules and regulations have not been examined for years), when we supply into Alliance and AAH so that flours can be delivered by van at a great saving to the NHS (I am an ex NHS pathology employee). OK I'm off my soapbox now!

It is really sad to see so many more CCG's deciding to stop prescribing GF foods completely. As most of our customers know, we do not profiteer and sell to the NHS at exactly to same price as we sell on our website, one of the cheapest companies to supply GF home bakery ingredients in the UK and Ireland. We now have a free P&P offer on orders over £30 as it's usually the postage which puts people off buying online. Attending a couple of GF events shortly 27th Jan at Rotherham and another in April at Darwen High School - look forward to seeing you!

So now it's not just the CCG's who are delisting, the government will only support blends of ingredients (our USP was that you can purchase safe, unique GF ingredients for home baking) so from 8 products currently on the ACBS tariff, in November there will be just the one-our versatile gluten and wheat free blended flour!! And they would like us to change the name (remove the word "flour" as it is misleading! So please people, keep supporting Pure Gluten Free by turning to the website www.pureglutenfree.co.uk for your ingredients-they are cheaper than a prescription charge too!!
