Ramada Caravella Resort - Goa www.caravelabeachresort.com
Before I left I emailed the Food & Beverages manager, Mr Chatterjee, with information on CD and a link to your website. He and the Head Chef, Roland Sequeira met me on my arrival and assured me that I would not go hungry. In fact, whenever I went to one of the 5 restaurants’ on site or attending a special theme night, one of them appeared from no where “as if by magic” to assist me in my choices. I was not lacking in choice of meals at all. One thing that I could not have was the mulligatawny soup (which was a shame as I have only ever had Heinz before!!) but I was offered an alternative spicy tomato soup instead which was delicious.
On Christmas Eve there was a buffet, which was humungous. Roland, who was obviously extremely busy as he had organised the catering of this event for over 500 people, took the time out to guide me around the different areas, e.g. kebabs, curries, indian street foods etc. that were on offer. He stay by my side all the time that I was being served, so ensure that I did not go wrong.
I cannot praise Mr Chatterjee and Roland enough for all their help and understanding.
Mymos Restaurant & Guest House www.mymosgoa.com
This was a short drive from the hotel. Once again I emailed the proprietors before departure, who assured me by return that GF would not be a problem. We had many meals at this place as it was less than half the price of the hotel. A 3 course meal with drinks came to around £10 for 2!! You could have freshly caught fish of the day, a selection of traditional curries, or salads & a multitude of vegetarian options too!
Any questions? email me - macalifrog@yahoo.com
