Sharm. Home again!

Home from Sharm. B+B at Tropicana Rosetta. The Buffet style breakfasts looked nice. I only eat yogurt and honey before I get on a boat so that was no problem, but I could have had eggs, cheese and mashed potato (!?)not sure if that is an Egyptian thing or a Russian one! (Most of the other guests are Russian.)
The boats from Emperor Divers will cater for allergies. I get sea sick so I didn't even look at the food on board, but other guests were impressed.
Evening meals: we ate in the smaller Egyptian restaurants off the main strip. No problems.........
...
The eateries on the strip all blend together!!! best way to describe my favourite......Almost opposite the Hard Rock, with a carved man suspended in a tree ! You'll know when you see it. It is traditional Muslim so there is no alcohol and is usually full of Egyptian customers. Have eaten safely in the Thai restaurant, but not this trip.
Also ate at a Steak house on the beach just past the casino shaped like a boat ....

We went to Sharm at Christmas had a great time. Took the card with what we need to say in Arabic (asked CUK for help and they emailed what we needed) so they felt we had made a effort, we stayed in the Sunrise Island Garden resort All Inc. Every morning the head waiter talked us through the buffet and had our evening meals made speacialy for us, what ever we asked for. Soup, meats, fish and puddings. We had no problems. The people are very friendly

Hey i've been about 7 times now and love it there. I found a hypermarket about 10mins walk outside of sharm that was great for food for lunches etc. esp. if you are diving. I would recommend the Camel Bar/Hotel nd the resturants associated iwth this and also the Movenpick for resturants as they are great! Movenpick is quite expensive but def. worth it!
