I've been to Flunch quite a lot in a variety of places in France including Cite Europe. I'm really sensitive to gluten but haven't ever been ill from eating there (it's one of the only places in France where i don't find it stressful to eat out). They usually do quite a variety of vegetables on the buffet and you can get omelettes with them as they cook them on a hot plate where they don't cook anything else so it's pretty safe. I once checked and the fries are cooked in oil that's not used for anything else. You sometimes have to be careful that the pasta dishes near the vegetables haven't contaminated the other stuff but generally it's been ok when i've been. Hope that's helpful - have a great time

Hi K, I've been to cite europe quite a few times both before and after being GF. Off hand I cant think of anywhere for you to particularly to head for lunch. I tend to have a few set 'safe' meals for when I'm in France which can be got in any cafe-y-type-place: steak (not helpful), omlette (which tends to be a big one with a variety of fillings).
I had a look on the web site and they have a Flunch there too which is quite good. The idea there is that you buy one thing from the counter and then the vegetables are free afterwards. You can normally buy an "assiette des legumes" quite cheaply 3euros-ish. Its best to check which veggies are on that day. Its not quite boiled peas but more ratatouille, herby lentils, rice etc.
If you are lucky enough to find pancakes remember stick to galettes de sarracin (buckwheat) and NOT galettes de froment. Failing that all my various french translations are on the support board----------------------------------
