Hi, i am not a diabetic, although Coeliac and have alot of symptoms of diabetes. One thing that has puzzled me for many years. Why do i have a constant thirst? What is the purpose of the body making me thirsty? ALL THE TIME, it's a nightmare, i never get a good nights sleep because i'm constantly drinking then going to the loo all night. Is there a logical reason for this? Silly Yak

I assume you have been tested for Diabetes Cassie?
What other symptoms do you have that you say you have a lot of? (to do with diabetes)
I think if this was ongoing for some time, undetected, then the complications that can arise ( to do with diabetes) are horrid and I would say that you need to speak to your doctor and get some investigations going or at least browse the forum links i gave on the other thread... if its gone on for years the possibilities could be endless...
My thirst symptom was very short lasting...thankfully, but at the time I could not stop drinking, not just thirty, nothing would quench it...and I mean no amount of liquid or anything at all.
.
Let us know how you get on xx

Hiya, my notes are up at my other house (i'm staying with my partner Kraci for the winter). My thirst is never abated, i'm constantly drinking huge quantities of water. My bloods are only one point over the norm, the docs here do not seem worried about it, they tell me to lose weight, i'm 70kg. Silly Yak

That is strange Cassie...if your blood count is ok I can't think what is going on with you?
Always a good idea to lose weight ! I have a shed load to shift....
