….I've just got back from Punta Prima today. It was absolutely excellent. I can't fault it at all. I had requested gluten free meals for the flight (Thomson) and on the way out I got a full breakfast, omellete, sausage, chipped potatoes and tomato, a small lifestyle breadroll and jam. Delicious! I also got a little pot of fruit for dessert. The hotel were expecting me and I told them at reception that I needed gluten free diet so they arranged it with the matron (the head waiter). They cooked me several pieces of chicken separate for about 3 days so I requested some pork which they cooked for me and the last day I asked for beef and got a steak with potatoes and veg. The buffet is excellent. For breakfast I had bacon, eggs and tomato and there is plenty of fruit. I had rice and potatoes to go with my meat on an evening and at lunch I either had salad or fruit and the little pots of ice cream are lovely and are safe for us - choc, strawberry or vanilla. At the snack bar they gave me ham and cheese instead of a toastie. And you can buy crisps from behind the bar. The picnics are great. I had my own big box made up consisting of ham, cheese, fruit, boiled egg and a bottle of water.
Everything about this place was great (and I'm fussy). The entertainment is fab, the kids loved it. I'm sure you'll have a great time. Just make sure you tell the reception and keep reminding the matron every night as he does tend to forget.
Anything else you need to know just ask.
Oh the flight home, again the meal was nice. I had chicken with tomato and basil sauce, a small lifestyle breadcake, salad and fruit.
I wish I was back there now. I would definitely go again. We were talking to lots of people who were returning after 3 or 4 visits. ……
