As I said I booked a trip to Italy to try this beer and can report back the following information.
Free Aglut and Bi-Aglut are the SAME BEER. Made by the same Italian Brewery. Free Aglut is sold in supermarkets and Bi-aglut is available through "Farmacia".
The Supermarket chain that sells it is called Auchan www.auchan.it/ but be warned , not all Auchan stores have stock ( Ancona have been out of stock since December ! .
The store I visited in Bergamo had 27 bottles with 1 month left on the best before date and they were covered in dust , Italina dont drink much beer !
If you email the Bergamo store you will get a reply from the Manager's PA ( Pamela ) who is English and from london !
All in all it was a very sucessfull Coeliac trip , eating out wasnt a problem , we ate one night in Bergamo at a Pizza resturant called L'Arca who were able to offer Gluten Free Pizza and also serve Bi-Aglut Beer at €3.10 per bottle. 5 bottles of been and two GF pizzas came to €30 so a bargain at Italian prices.
The next night we ate in Milan at Be Bop who had a complete Gluten Free Menu with the crossed grain symbol on the front. This not only included pizza but everything else on the menu that they considered safe. The also served Bi-Aglut beer but this time at $4 per bottle and all the meals were expensive too but perhaps this is true of all Milan.
Taking into account all expenses including flights , accomadation etc I brought back 24 bottles at a cost eack of £35 !! but it was worth it to discover there is a reasonable tasting GF beer out there and it's just a matter of getting it back here
