the BEST cakes if eating out in Scotland are...
Posted by kc on 13/2/2005GF board
Go to 'Dobbies' garden centre, branches throughout Scotland and they sell to sit in or take away 'mars bar cakes' you can get them with white or mild chocolate and they are the best!!! totally gluten free, but you usually have to ask as this cake sometimes does not have a gluten free sign beside it although it should!!! it is a must to try...the only decent GF cake i have tasted yet!!!

Dobbies Stirling,
Fairly rubbish for food unless eating salad and jcket spuds, spoke to the cooks there, not got a scooby ie; you'll be alright with the Macaroni Cheese we use cornflour.............. aye right oh what about the Pasta mate, pasta has that got Gluten in it............. aye one jacket spud please.
The Butchers however in the foodhall are brills, GF/WF Square slice sausage, link sausage, Black Pudding (most excellent)haggis is a bit smooth for my liking but nice sliced up fried on a Tesco Roll. He will do beef olives and stuff but then its not rocket science once you have the links is it. Same butcher has a shop in Milgavnie and Edinburgh
