Posted by davidmc NI on 14/5/2007,GF board …North coast of Ireland ….. if you plan to holiday here anytime you could do so anywhere really as the province is small, maybe about the size of yorkshire. You can reach anywhere easily there and back in a day and traffic is not a problem except in Belfast. …. …..you would be able to avail of my local GF eating out guide so will never struggle to find good GF food. I include a couple of links for you. www.causewaycoastandglens.com/Ho ... fault.aspx Link: bannsystem.infm.ulst.ac.uk/ ***********************************

Excellent GF options at hotel in Ballycastle, North Coast, N Ireland Posted by David mc on 12/8/2017, 15:25:48 The Marine hotel at the seafront in Ballycastle at the north east tip of Ireland is accredited by CUK and hosts the annual Gluten Free Ireland event. The menus offer many GF options. All their soups are GF. They offer GF battered haddock. All their sides are GF and most main courses can be adapted to GF. Today I just had a soup and sandwich combo. When it arrived it looked just like my wife's dish except my sandwiches were made with GF bread. There were three GF desserts. We shared a plate of GF chocolate profiteroles which came with added cream and chocolate sauce. That was a real first and they weren't the frozen ones from the Freefrom sections either. The hotel owners are very GF aware as they run a GF business, Rule of Crumb, providing GF products for the catering industry. They featured in Dragons Den but lost out when one rather over sensitive dragon took exception to them asking them to share investing with another dragon. Anyway if you are in the area it's well worth a visit for a bite to eat. www.marinehotelballycastle.com/index.php
