Nandos Posted by Ali - West Suss ex on 22/3/2005 GF board I went away to Dudley, Birmingham at the weekend for some retail therapy, and went to Nandos in Dudley for a meal on Saturday night. The place was heaving, and I asked one of the servers for their food allergy list. He looked very puzzled, asked someone else who shrugged and hurried away; so he went and asked the manager. She said they didn't have the allergy list anymore, but what did I want? Dairy free and gluten free. She went through the whole menu, and listed knowledgeably what was ok and what was not. We had a lovely meal - very simple, good food. Gold stars to this manager - she was very clued up; it made my weekend! ****************************************** Weekend Report Posted by Jacqui on 14/3/2006 GF board Stayed Friday at the Fairlawns Hotel, Nr Birmingham, GF knowledge was very good, nice meal with corn crispbread, Salmon & king prawn starter, Prime Rib mixed veg and new potato, Creme Brulee for dessert. Our local chip shop which is Marios, High Street, Brownhills, Walsall, West Midlands, now have every 2nd tuesday in the month GF fish & chip night. The owner has really done his research, and is very helpful and understanding. (Its great as its my 2 year daughter who is Coeliac, so as a family now it is a real treat for the rest of the children)..
