have just got back from teignmouth with my coeliac 21month old dd. (our 1st gf hol.) I have to give a few recomendations to anyone travelling that way. 1st off for lunches and snacks SCOOPYS in the main square is great. The owner is coeliac himself and bakes the GF bread (it is also egg and milk free). I found it really reasuring to know that he really understood the importance of what i was saying.
for dinner MONGOLIAN X is good. Raw veg and meat is laid out in bowls in chiller. You put what you want in your bowl and add any homemade sauces you want, from the next counter. Then take it to the hot plate to be cooked in front of you. It is a small friendly place who were totally unphased by using clean woks and utensils. You pay one price and eat as much as you like. They giveyou a bowl of noodles on arrival and they even had rice noodles to supplement for dd. you can also go there at lunch time. and as all the sauces are homemade they can tell you whats in them.
