From Mac: Life's a Beach - Bude timart.co.uk/mysharedaccounts/dsibley/menus.htm ~ The most delicious choice of local freshly caught fish, but you can also get steak, lamb, duck etc. My nieces' brother (don't ask) is a chef there, so he guided me through the menu and advised what I could and couldn't have. I also spoke to the owner who said that they were more than willing to cater for a GF diet and that he would look into stating this on their menu. ~ All you had to do was ask and apart from pies etc. I was happily catered for. I had a delicious ribeye steak and the chips were all hand cut old fashioned style and very yummy.

From Mac
The Inn on the Green - Bude
Crooklets Beach, Bude, Cornwall EX23 8NF Tel: 01288 356013
~ We had a fabulous Sunday Roast here - I phoned in advance and confirmed my GF requirements which were not a problem and the staff very friendly. All I had to do was take my GF gravy which they made up for me without batting an eyelid.
************* . Mirchi - Indian Cuisine Lansdown Rd, Bude, Cornwall EX23 8BH Tel: 01288 350300
~ Slightly different dishes on offer to my usual local curry house but nevertheless extremely nice and helpful staff that didn't make me blush when I asked about a GF diet. And finally - we did try to get into Padstow to go to Rick's place but we couldn't park the car so we turned around a drove home. Anyway hope this helps anyone who is thinking of going to Bude - a lovely place with really helpful staff who don't make you feel like you are a 2nd rate customer. I can't wait to go back.....

GF board
... I had a great gluten free cream tea in "The Bakery", in Bude. I think it was Jocelyn (D&D) who recommended this one on here a few weeks back. This bakery clearly offers gluten free scones and rolls on it's menu and provides an eat-in or take-away service. Only downside was that the gluten free scones were 80p more expensive than the standard gluten full ones.
The address for The Bakery is 12 Queen Street, Bude, Cornwall, EX23 8BB - Tel: 01288 353133

Diner in Bude, Cornwall Posted by Sally (London) on 8/9/2011, 14:27:21 We went to the Atlantic Diner in Bude recently which was fantastic. They don't specify gluten free, but if you ask, they are really clued up and willing to help. They put on a new pan of oil so my daughter could have the chips cooked separately and sliced some chicken breast to make goujons. The kids deal on the menu (only about £4) included ice cream which wasn't gf, so they offered to make her something else which was a tall sundae glass filled with broken meringue, fresh fruit and caramel soya desert. She loved it, not just the delicious food, but being made to feel special rather than awkward in a restaurant! We did also try The Bakery in Bude. My daughter had a sausage roll which she said was yummy - so it should be, it was £1.30 and about the size of my index finger!! Sorry but No website, found this. www.visitbude.info/site/eating-out/atlantic-diner-p658443

Tapas in Bude Posted by Pam, Dorset on 4/10/2014, 12:34:27
Highly recommended is Bank in Bude where the menu is clearly marked and there is a huge selection of gluten free options. The mussels were some of the best I have ever tasted. Strangely the puds were not marked gf but when I asked the creme brûlée was - and it was gorgeous. The place is not easy to find if you are a stranger - we had to ask at the tourist info - as it is not in the town where all the shops and cafes are but is a little walk along the canal path towards a cycle hire place and another restaurant, but if you drive you go through a little industrial estate and need to know where you are going, but it is very worth finding. In September we booked the day before and got the last table as it appears to be very popular.
