Ellen's Mixed Fruit Tea Bread

MIXED FRUIT TEA BREAD....
60Z RAISINS 4oz SULTANAS 2oz CURRANTS 8oz SOFT BROWN SUGAR 1/2 pint STRONG COLD TEA one med. EGG 1 tblsp. BLACK TREACLE 8oz TRYTAMYL BROWN BREAD MIX(OR ANY OTHER) (I used Juvela fibre mix) 1 1/2 ltsp. GF BAKING POWDER 1/2 ltsp. MIXED SPICE
Method... Soak the fruit and sugar in tea over night. Grease and line 2lb. loaf tin Beat in the egg and treacle Add GF bread mix baking powder and spice. Bake in oven 170deg.C (325 deg.fah) gas mark 3 for 30 mins. Then cover loosley with foil and cook for 40-60 mins until well risen and just firm. Turn out onto wire rack to cool. Wrap in foil, eat and enjoy after at least one day. Enjoy spread with cream cheese or butter.
