Dubrovnik and Mljet Posted by Annette on 14/7/2017 GF board Just back from a stay in Dubrovnik and Mljet Island. Had to use a resturant card several times but everyone understood and I ate well. Would recommend Croatia, lovely country and people. The food highlights. Dubrovnik Dubrovnik old town, first ice cream shop on RHS when enter via Pile Gate (2-3 shops in main street) most flavours gluten free. Ate several flavours without incident. Recommend the lemon! Bosnian resturant Taj Mahal(2 sites only tried one out of town not one in old town) most of the menu is gluten free www.tajmahal-dubrovnik.com/ Near harbour Taverna Otto lovely food and very good understanding of gluten free diet. Has an outdoor terrace too. www.tavernaotto.com/en/ On Mljet Island Best sea food Konoba Nine - the owner free dives and spear fishes for the fish, excellent Amberjack one evening. www.facebook.com/pages/Konoba-Nine/357020507701649 The airport The upstairs coffee bar in departure area sells gluten free filled baguettes and cake (bonus).
